50th Anniversary

Half a Century....

In 2009 JS Fraser celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Fifty years is a huge achievement.

From the beginning when Jock and Louise Fraser started the business in 1959 building Tippers and Brewery trucks for local companies, through to the early 1990’s when Jock’s son Iain and his wife Karen took over the business, it has remained a company owned and run by the Fraser family.

This has been made possible by having a dedicated and highly skilled workforce, and when we started to discuss this very special Anniversary it made us aware of the number of our staff who have only ever worked at J S Fraser since leaving school, and it was very clear how proud our staff are that we are entering our Half Century.

The changes within the Coach Building industry in the last fifty years have been significant and challenging, these changes have been met, and some of them made, by J S Fraser and our workforce. Through the years we have developed new working methods and practices to keep our manufacturing processes as efficient and technologically advanced as possible.

No matter what challenges we have been faced with, from new concepts, delivering new innovative designs into the coach building world, the “Can Do” Attitude of every single person within our organization has always enabled us to get the job done.
